Your Privacy Choices
This page explains your rights as a California resident and lets you exercise them immediately. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to limit its use, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Manage Cookies and Tracking on This Device
Use the buttons below to update the cookie preferences we store in your browser. Your choice applies to CaliforniaContractorInsurance.com on this device only.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale or sharing of your personal information under CCPA/CPRA. You do not need to submit an additional request.
What Personal Information We Collect
CaliforniaContractorInsurance.com is a lead-generation and referral service. When you interact with the site we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, business name, email address, phone number, CSLB license number if provided on a form.
- Commercial information: trade / CSLB classification, approximate annual revenue range, employee headcount range, types of insurance requested.
- Internet activity: pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser type, timestamps of your visit.
- Geolocation: approximate city and county derived from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Inference data: categories of insurance products likely relevant to your business, based on the information you submit.
We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, financial account numbers, health information, or content of communications.
How We Use It
- Match your quote request with a California-licensed insurance broker who specializes in your trade.
- Analyze site performance and improve the site (via Google Analytics — anonymized IP).
- Respond to inquiries you initiate by phone or email.
- Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. In the future, we may share aggregated, non-identifying data with insurance broker partners. When you submit a quote request, the personal information you provide is shared with the licensed California insurance broker matched to your request, for the sole purpose of providing you with the quote you asked for. That sharing is at your explicit direction — you initiated the request.
For advertising and analytics cookies (Google Analytics), turning off the "Advertising / Sale & Share" category in your preferences opts you out of any behavioral advertising sharing under CCPA/CPRA.

How to Submit a Privacy Request
You have two ways to submit a CCPA/CPRA privacy request. Use whichever is easiest:
- The web form below — fastest option, arrives immediately.
- Phone: call (949) 415-4567 during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm PT) and leave your request as a voicemail with your callback information.
We will respond within 45 days as required by CCPA (may be extended once by 45 additional days with notice). We may need to verify your identity before completing your request — this typically means confirming the email address or phone number you originally used to interact with the site.
Submit a Privacy Request
Required for a valid request under CCPA/CPRA. We use this information only to verify your identity and fulfill your request.
Authorized Agents
You can designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Select "Authorized Agent submission" as the request type on the form above, and upload or reference the written authorization you have from the California resident. We may still ask the resident to verify their identity directly before completing the request.
Retention
Quote-request personal information is retained for the period required to complete the referral (typically 30–90 days for the matched broker to work the lead), plus a reasonable business retention period of up to 24 months for audit, dispute resolution, and marketing performance analysis. Google Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention (14 months).
